We are seeking a reliable and motivated Crew Leader to supervise and work alongside a team of field staff performing grounds maintenance. The Crew Leader ensures quality work, efficiency, and adherence to company standards while fostering a team-oriented work environment. This is a hands-on role that requires leadership, effective time management, and clear communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, train, and supervise a crew of 2–5 field employees in daily operations
- Ensure timely completion of scheduled jobs with a focus on quality and safety
- Delegate tasks and provide clear instructions to crew members
- Perform work alongside the crew, setting the standard for pace and professionalism
- Conduct pre- and post-job site inspections and complete necessary documentation
- Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies; report damages or shortages
- Monitor and report crew attendance, performance, and behavior
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, job site rules, and client expectations
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, and team members
- Assist in onboarding and training of new employees
- Operate company vehicles and equipment as required
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1–2 years of supervisory experience in grounds maintenance
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors/in various weather conditions
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM – until job completion (some weekend or evening work as needed)
