Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair small engines (e.g., mowers, edgers, weed eaters, blowers, chainsaws)
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, spark plug replacements, air filter cleanings, and blade sharpening.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and recommend repair or replacement when needed
- Clean and organize tools, trailers, and shop space daily/weekly
- Maintain a clean and safe equipment yard/workshop.
- Tag, label, and assign tools and equipment to crews as needed
- Keep track of tool condition and schedule repairs or replacements proactively
- Use an app (e.g., Fleetio, MaintainX, or similar) to track inventory, repairs, service logs, and tool check-outs
- Update equipment maintenance records in real-time using a tablet or smartphone
- Alert management to missing or damaged tools
- Proven experience with minor engine repair (preferred 1–2 years minimum)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor in outdoor/shop environments
- Basic knowledge of gas-powered landscaping equipment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Comfort using apps or mobile tools for task tracking and inventory management
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Certifications in minor engine repair or related fields
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- Experience working with lawn maintenance or landscaping companies
